Jason and I love nature documentaries. Something about nature leads us uniquely into awe and worship of our amazing Creator. On Sundays we have been watching Planet Earth (we order it disc by disc from Netflix) and it has been outstanding. The cinematography is exquisite, and the content truly can be a catalyst for worshiping the God who created such splendor.
Last night we were watching disc 2 about various ice-regions. Tears streamed down my cheeks (and you know I’m not much of a cryer) while watching what is just a glimpse of the wisdom, creativity, and artistry of God. He seemed so much greater, I seemed so much smaller. And it was such a good thing!
I highly recommend this series. Even though the commentator will periodically allude to evolution it just gets squashed in the majesty of what can only be understood as the incomprehensible handiwork of a glorious Creator.
19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
2 Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech, nor are there words,
whose voice is not heard.
4 Their voice goes out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
