Reyes Family House Tour Part 1

Update:  Hey gang. I cleaned up my you tube videos, but if you want to see my house, email me and I’ll send you  some pics. We are still amazed everyday to live in a home like this that cost less than a small townhouse in MD.

This is for my MD home-girls who have asked for pics of the new home :).

This is slightly obnoxious to watch because: first, it is loud and noisy (but I wanted to record a slice of life for posterity’s sake) and second, the video quality is really poor so it is dark and hard to see. I will try to do Part 2 during the day time and see if it helps.

  1. Of course, I’m sobbing. Miss you so much. I watched this w/ my boys on my lap. Tucker said, “Let’s go to Miss Laurie’s house. Mom, can we go to Miss Laurie’s house?” WIsh I could. If I could pack them up and hit the road today, I would. I think my hubby would feel a bit abandoned, though…
LOVE the colors…absolutely love them. THey look very rich and warm, inviting and cozy. I love the nerf gun battle goin’ on in the background. My hubby can’t wait to do stuff like that w/ our boys. Miss you so much, friend. Can’t wait to visit. This’ll make me bring it up again to LA, and w/ busy season slowly but surely coming to an end soon, maybe we’ll actually be able to see far enough past it to plan for a trip.
Looking forward to part 2 of the Reyes’ family tour. (You know i”m going to watch that like 10 times today and cry every time…I’m such a glutton for punishment). 🙂

  2. I love the kitchen. It was good to see the “battle” going on in the backround…Your house looks very cozy and welcoming. I am so happy for you guys…BUT I miss seeing you ALL…
    Love ya

  3. So fun!!! Your house is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Love the playroom storage so nice. I also loved the kids running through the house with their guns…hilarious. Can’t wait to see more.

I love all your colors by the way.

  4. Laurie, Thanks for the tour!! Did you guy repaint? Or are those the original colors? I like them!!! It was great to hear your voice!!!

  5. The original house had mauve walls with emerald green carpet. lovely. it also was owned by smoking cat owners :). To be honest, we are still dealing with certain smells even after painting and re-carpeting. we were able to get the house for a really low (make you MD girls sick kind of low) price making it possible to replace carpet and repaint. We love the colors. It was God’s grace though because i had to choose them all from MD with only about 1 week to make all of the decisions. Yikes. The dining room is mocha. The kitchen is guacamole. The den is my all time favorite neutral: county cork. Most of the rest of the house is painted sand, but I wish we had gone ahead with the county cork…we thought it might be too dark for the entryway, but now that i’m living in it I think it could’ve been more dramatic. This is way more info than anyone wanted to know. But it is a snowy, lazy day so I’m blog blog blogging 🙂 .

  6. Bethany,
did you notice the big blank space above the sofa in the family room? that is where I dream of four beautiful black and whites of each of my kiddos taken by my favorite photog, Bethany!!! One day we will make it happen 🙂 .

  7. Beautiful home 🙂 Love the open layout. I see what you mean about it working well for hospitality!

    Looking forward to part 2!

  8. Ok, the kitchen is AMAZING! What great space. I cannot wait to come and visit. I appreciated how your puppy was getting in on the nurf action! I hope everyone was safe.

I am definitely looking forward to the second part.

  9. This was great. I really love the colors you have chosen. I’m all about the colors on the wall 🙂 That green was awesome.

Anyway, can’t wait for part 2!!!! Thanks for sharing.

  10. Hey, we should all take a road trip/caravan and come for a visit! Just kidding, Laurie! Don’t panic. 🙂 Thanks for the tour. It was cool to see your stuff (your big mirror and the Lady of Shallot painting) in a new place. I echo everyone else’s comments about the beautiful paint choices. The place looks spacious!

  11. Danielle, that’s a great idea. it can be blogger’s field trip in the exciting town of Wadsworth, OH. Woo Hoo! Be sure to pack your nerf guns.
